Setsu Ito is a Japanese designer with a broad work experience in architecture, interior, product, industrial & packaging design. He graduated from Tsukuba University in Japan, began collaborating with leader of avant-garde Italian design Alessandro Mendini at Studio Alchimia, and then with great master of modern architecture and design, Angelo Mangiarotti. He opened his design studio in 1995, and since 1997 in partnership with Shinobu Ito, he works and consult for international clients, in a wide range of activities in the design field. He have received design awards such as:  "Compasso d' Oro" (2011, Italy), "Compasso d' Oro Menzione d' Onore" (2011, Italy), "Red Dot Award Best of the Best" (2016, Germany, Singapore), "Design Plus" (2016, Germany), "NY NOW Best Product" (2017, USA), ”The Good Design Award (2001, Japan), “Mastro d'arte della pietra” (2019, Italy_ since 1319 this award for the 700th anniversary of the traditional award given to the stone artist Maestro) and many other international design awards. Some projects are a part of permanent collection of the Die Neue Sammlung Design Museum in Munich (Germany) and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan (Italy). He is a visiting professor of Domus Academy, Polytechnic University of Milan, IUAV / Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, IED / Istituto Europeo di Design of Milan, Raffles Milano (Italy). Professor of the University of Tsukuba (Japan), Project Professorand of the Research Center for Advanced Science & Technology at the University of Tokyo (Japan). He is a member of the ADI / Associazione Disegno Industriale (Italy), board member of the JAFCA / Japan Fashion Color Association (Japan) and the APDF / Asia Pacific Designers Federation (China). He is also a part of International Design Awards such as the IF / International Forum Design Award (Germany), IAI Design Award (China). Published a biography book “Setsu & Shinobu Ito_E- ast-West Designer” (Logos Italy 2008).

Setsu Ito è un designer giapponese con una vasta esperienza di lavoro nel campo dell'architettura, interior, product design, industrial design e packaging. Si è laureato presso l'Università di Tsukuba in Giappone, ha iniziato a collaborare con il leader delle avanguardie italiane di design Alessandro Mendini presso Studio Alchimia, e poi con grande maestro dell'architettura e del design moderno, Angelo Mangiarotti. Ha aperto il suo studio di design nel 1995, e dal 1997, in collaborazione con Shinobu Ito, lavora e fa consulenza per clienti internazionali, in una vasta gamma di attività nel campo del design. Ha ricevuto premi prestigiosi nel campo del design come "Copasso d'Oro" (2011, Italia), "Compasso d' Oro Menzione d'Onore" (2011, Italia), "Red dot Award Best of the Best" (2016, Germania, Singapore), "Design Plus" (2016, Germania), "NY NOW Best Product" (2017, USA), ”The Good Design Award (2001, Giappone), “Mastro d'arte della pietra” (2019, Italia_premio Mastro della pietra ha raggiunto il 700° anniversario) e molti altri premi. Alcuni progetti presero parte alle collezioni permanenti del Museo Die Neue Sammlung di Monaco e della Triennale di Milano.  Setsu Ito è visiting professor presso la Domus Academy di Milano (2000-presente, Italia), il Politecnico di Milano (2006-2007 / 2016-Presente, Italia), IUAV di Venezia (2009, Italia), IED / Istituto Europeo di Design di Milano (1999- Presente, Italia), Raffles Milano (2017- 2019, Italia). Professore della Università di Tsukuba (2020-presente), Progetto Professore del Research Center for Advanced Science & Technology della Università di Tokyo (2021-presente, Giappone). E’ membri dell' ADI / Associazione Disegno Industriale (Italia), membri della JAFCA / Japan Fashion Color Association (Japan) e dell' APDF / Asia Pacific Designers Federation (China). Fa parte della giuria di Internatio- nal Design Award compreso IF / International Forum Design Award (Germany) e di IAI Design Award (Cina). Nel 2008 venne pubblicata la loro biografia “Setsu & Shinobu Ito_East-West Designer” (Logos Italy).

伊藤節 ( デザイナー ) 伊藤節は、建築、インテリア、スペースからプロダクト、パッケージデザインまで多岐にわたるデザインを総合的に行っているデザイナーである。筑波大学大学院修了後、イタリア前衛デザインの騎手アルキミア／アレッサンドロ・メンディーニ、モダン建築・デザインの巨匠アンジェロ・マンジャロッティ事務所を経て独立。1995 年ミラノにデザイン事務所を設立し、世界各国のクライアントに対する幅広いデザイン開発、 デザインコンサルタント業務を行う。世界各国で作品発表、展示会を行い、その作品は多数の書籍や雑誌に掲載されている。Premio Compasso d'oro 金賞、Premio Compasso d'oro 銀賞（伊）、Design Plus賞（独）、Reddot Award 2016 Best of the Best賞 (独)、NY NOW Best Product賞（米）、Good Design 賞 (日本）等多くの 国際デザイン賞を受賞。その作品はミュンヘンとミラノの近代美術館にパーマネントコレクションとして納められている。700年の歴史をもつイタリアの石の芸術マスター、Mastro d'Arte della Pietraの称号を得る（2019伊）。ミラノ工科大学、ベネツィア大学、Domus Academy、IED、ラッフルズミラノ(伊)で契約教授。筑波大学 芸術系教授。東京大学 先端科学技術研究センター特任教授。ADI（伊）会員、日本流行色協会（日本）、APDF（中国）のボードメンバー。IFデザイン賞(独)他、国際デザイン賞の審査員を務める。“SETSU &SHINOBU ITO east & west designer"(Logos 出版社、2008 伊 ) が出版される。
