YU unveiled the world's first
plastic two-tone molded armchair at the Milan Salone in 2005.
Using rotational molding, the chair is formed by two rounds of
molding with different colored PE polyethylene plastic, and the
side walls are cut out after molding to reveal the inner second
layer of color. The cube-shaped design, integrating the seat,
backrest, and armrests, is compact enough for use as a dining
chair yet spacious enough for comfortable seating. The interior,
where the second color is visible, provides space for handbags,
small items, partially read books, or magazines. Its versatility
extends to various applications such as office chairs, dining
chairs, or outdoor armchairs, with the option to interchange the
types of metal tube legs to suit each purpose.
