KINOKI STOOL  Triennale di Milano - Milan Salone 2013
KINOKI is a furniture series of tables, chairs, and stools with tops made of wildwood, a hardwood flooring material. Adopting light materials into daily life has been a part of Japanese culture since ancient times, and the trying to feel the touch and scent of natural wood is a feeling that appeals to people not only in Asia but all over the world.
Wildwood flooring is a flooring material that has been specially heat-treated to make it extremely hard, and is characterized by its ironic, thin and light design, as if the floor were floating in the air.
The back of the chair, which needs to be curved, is angled by breaking the surface to create an irregular shape with movement, which is the keyword for a square flooring room.
