The I.E. Japanese home is a futuristic design which
asserts values of contemporary living, and where Western and
Japanese culture merge in afusion of emotions. The architecture,
the objets d’art, the words and gestures of the decor all
perform an important function in creating and
exchangingsensations, messages of courtesy and respect,
consideration towards ourselves and others. Design choices were
determined not merelyby notions of “aesthetic pleasure” but by
those of “relational pleasure” experienced in private and
